fields presents Sound & Vision: a fundraiser show
After three years of growing fields into Austin's premier arts journal, we are excited to announce that we have entered into an agreement for national and international distribution. fields will continue to be carried at your favorite independent bookstores across the country, but will now be sold at Barnes and Noble and many other retailers in places where we were previously unavailable. We are beyond excited to showcase Austin's finest up-and-coming writers, artists, and musicians to a wider audience, but to do so, we need to ramp up production significantly. It takes a lot of books to get out into all those stores, and more books = greater costs. We invite you to come listen to some great bands and help us raise money to achieve our goal!
Bands and set times are as follows:
9:00 - Critical Dad 10:00 - Pleasure Venom 11:00 - Jared Leibowich 12:00 - Pollen Rx 1:00 - Roses
$5 entry will get you one raffle ticket, and we'll be offering some special raffle ticket combos with purchases of the journal. We're giving away some cool prizes, including a set of the first five issues of fields (with long-since sold-out copies of Issues 1, 2, and 3), along with gift cards to some of our favorite local shops. The show is happening at Cheer Up Charlie's (900 Red River). 21+.
